I trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, completing a BSc in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. My approach to therapy is relationship-first. That means building a relationship based on trust, honesty and being able to talk without judgement. At its heart, I think the work is quite simple. We slow things down, talk about what's happening and try to make sense of it together. I won't sit silently analysing you. I'll be alongside you: curious, honest and willing to explore whatever you bring. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or what you want from therapy before getting in touch. You might be struggling with something specific, noticing the same patterns repeating, feeling overwhelmed, or simply know that something doesn't feel right.
I offer face-to-face psychotherapy in Mansfield, Walk & Talk therapy, and online sessions.
My Approach
I don't believe therapy has to look the same for everyone, or happen in one fixed place.
Some people prefer the privacy and consistency of a therapy room. Others find it easier to talk while moving. Some prefer the accessibility of working online. We can find what works for you.
Walk & Talk is psychotherapy out
My Approach
I don't believe therapy has to look the same for everyone, or happen in one fixed place.
Some people prefer the privacy and consistency of a therapy room. Others find it easier to talk while moving. Some prefer the accessibility of working online. We can find what works for you.
Walk & Talk is psychotherapy outdoors, usually while walking together in a pre-planned location.
For some people, walking makes talking easier. Moving can take some of the pressure out of the conversation, while being outdoors and walking side by side can feel less intense than sitting opposite someone in a room.
Same care. Same boundaries. Different setting.
Working outdoors is always something we agree together first. We'll consider privacy, safety, accessibility, weather, confidentiality and how you're feeling about working outside. We'll also talk about practical things, such as what we'll do if we see someone you know.
